Based on prior speculations, students spend most of their time indoors and this available space encourages them to dine outside as they step away from the academic lifestyle. Our goal is to introduce a new taste and eating as a community to both the students and faculty of SJSU.

Structure & Material
The inspired Nipa Huts are built with two materials - bamboo and straw. The same idea was applied here, the bamboo represents sustainability as well as the strong and solid form of the structure. The straw aspect is kept light for an airy and refreshing roof.
